Summer Kickoff Firework Safety Reminder
A Reminder About Summer Kickoff Fireworks Safety
As we reflect on another successful Summer Kickoff celebration, we would like to take a moment to address an important safety matter regarding the fireworks display.
The blue fencing placed around the perimeter of the pavilion and ballfield, extending toward the pond and behind the tennis courts, serves as the official fire line. This restricted area is established to contain the fireworks display and is required by the Loudoun County Fire Marshal's Office. These boundaries are in place to protect everyone in attendance and must be respected at all times.
Unfortunately, during this year's Summer Kickoff, there were multiple instances of individuals crossing or attempting to cross the fire line. Entering this restricted area is extremely dangerous, particularly during the setup and ignition of fireworks, and can result in serious injury or death.
In addition to placing themselves at risk, individuals who cross the fire line also create dangerous situations for Association staff, volunteers, and security personnel who must intervene to stop them. No staff member or volunteer should be placed in harm's way while attempting to enforce safety regulations designed to protect our community.
Due to repeated incidents over the years, the Loudoun County Fire Marshal's Office has informed us that stricter restrictions will be imposed on future fireworks displays at Ashburn Farm. Continued violations could result in Ashburn Farm losing the ability to host fireworks as part of our Summer Kickoff celebration altogether.
As we look ahead to future events, we ask all residents to help us preserve this community tradition by respecting the fire line and discussing its importance with their children and guests before attending. The fire line is not simply a suggestion—it is a critical safety measure designed to protect everyone involved.
We appreciate your cooperation and commitment to helping keep our community events safe and enjoyable for all.

Annual Property Survey
The 2026 Annual “Off Property, Property Surveys” will begin April 27th and continue through the summer months. Email blasts will be sent out each week with a list of the upcoming streets to be surveyed. Signs will also be posted at main intersections in those areas the week prior to and on the week of those Surveys to notify everyone that they are upcoming or in progress.
Inspectors will be utilizing streets and sidewalks as well as Association Common Areas to survey all single-family and townhome properties. The Surveys will include photographs of those areas where issues are noted. A letter will be sent to each homeowner identifying any issues found that are not in compliance with the Ashburn Farm Architectural Design & Maintenance Standards. The Standards are available on the Association website at: www.ashburnfarmassociation.org.
The types of issues that would be noted during that Survey include damaged, missing, or mismatched items, dirt/stains/mildew, peeling paint, rotted wood, or faded items.
Please be aware that the findings noted on the Survey are limited to views available from off-property and do not represent a Resale disclosure inspection. Resale disclosure inspections are required for all properties being sold in Ashburn Farm and must be requested through the Ashburn Farm Association Office.

Upcoming Events In Ashburn Farm
WELCOME TO
Ashburn Farm Association
There is only one way to find out if a community is right for you and your family. You must get out and experience it. Take to the sidewalks, stroll through the neighborhoods, and talk to the people you meet about why they chose to live here. We encourage you to explore Ashburn Farm in this detail because we know that you will love what you find, the parks, the people, the amenities, the setting. Ashburn Farm blends Virginia’s picturesque beauty with stunning homes and ample community amenities in Loudoun County. The majority of the land on which Ashburn Farm is located was sold to, or inherited by, John Janney, a Delegate for Loudoun County until his death in the late 1800’s. Mr. Janney called the area Ashburn Farm because of close family friends with the same name. The land was eventually sold to Senator William Stewa, later being further divided, and sold. The last owner was the Gray Family, who operated a dairy farm on the land. A windmill was salvaged and restored from the Gray estate and now stands with a large “Ohio Buckeye” tree near the Windmill Community Center.
